Making the Right Supply Chain Decisions

Making the Right Supply Chain Decisions Supply chains have existed since the beginning of organized production. In the last few decades, however, interest in supply chains has increased, primarily because of globalization, fierce competition, and dynamic changes in the marketplace. Many companies have realized that today it is not enough to manage themselves, particularly because increased efforts have resulted in smaller gains in internal improvement programs. Thus, companies have begun to look outside themselves for areas to improve. Logistics and supply chain management came into focus, and companies have tried consciously to manage their relationships, to streamline supply chain processes, and to coordinate operations. All these efforts require managerial decisions and cooperation between buyers and suppliers and within companies. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Supply Chain Forum: An International Journal Taylor & Francis

Abstract

Supply chains have existed since the beginning of organized production.
