Russian Manufacturing Revisited: Industrial Enterprises at the Start of the Crisis

Russian Manufacturing Revisited: Industrial Enterprises at the Start of the Crisis Using two large surveys of manufacturing firms conducted in 2005 and 2009, a team of researchers at the Institute for Industrial and Market Studies (IIMS) of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) examines firm behavior over time, looking at drivers of firm behavior and the business climate in Russia with a focus on changes in the pre-crisis period. Changes in six critical areas of restructuring are examined: the institutional environment; growth; technology; innovation; corporate governance; and management. Relations between firms and various levels of government are also examined. The degree to which the manufacturing sector is market oriented and its potential to drive economic growth are considered. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Post Soviet Affairs Taylor & Francis
