A case study about the pollution of Parramatta River which is located in NSW, Australia indicates the need of raising the community awareness [1]. The Office of Environment and Heritage in NSW attempts to raise stormwater awareness of the communities living around the lower Parramatta River catchment. Councils located around the lower Parramatta River catchment run a community education program on stormwater pollution. According to Plant, Walker [2] Parramatta River has significant levels of dioxins and other persistent pollutants. Augmented reality is a technology, which enhances the perception of the real world through the smartphone camera by overlaying virtual objects or information. AR has been used in many disciplines such as education, health and marketing. AR can be used to raise awareness of users surrounding more than what they would gain by
