BACKGROUND:For augmentation and sustainability of Human Systems Management (HSM), it is significant to analyse and reposition journals, which is very well done by bibliometric analysis.OBJECTIVE:The study aims to provide the retrospective of HSM between 1980– 2019.METHOD:Scopus database has been employed to bibliographic indicators for the representation of available data for forty years. By utilising the VOSviewer software, bibliographic materials being drawn from keywords, graphical visuals, bibliographic coupling & co-citation analysis have been done.RESULTS:Results enabled to establish that the average number of publications remained almost the same throughout forty years, tinting the journal has been as vital in 2019 for researchers as it was in 1980. Citations originated drastic mounting with recently published documents in comparison with earlier production.CONCLUSIONS:Authors and researchers are suggested to cover knowledge and knowledge management related articles. This study suggests management to ensure the inculcation of more related areas in the scope by announcing special issues to broaden the journals’ scope as it remained the main reason for limiting HSM from gaining as much attention as it deserved.

BACKGROUND:This research originated from empirical phenomena which showed that the result of communal land policies was not beneficial to indigenous people and led to lawsuits of interest groups and representatives of indigenous people.OBJECTIVE:This research examines the policy network in the policy-making process of communal land in Riau Province. We analysed the relationship between actors and each interest it carries to affect the policy process either in the policy implementation or policy formulation.METHODS:This research uses the qualitative approach with a case study method. This is an empirical inquiry that investigates phenomena in real life contexts where the boundaries between phenomena and contexts do not appear explicitly or clearly and makes use of various sources of evidence.RESULTS:The findings of the study show that although the composition of actors in communal land policy making in Riau Province have been heterogeneous, there are still limitations in identifying crucial issues faced by indigenous people. Meanwhile, there is also a change in the policy network at the stage of finalization and decision making which is limited to public actors or government.CONCLUSION:This study presented that the collaborative policy network determines the results of communal land policies in Riau Province. Collaborative policy network is not created, so policy outcomes are only determined by actors who are dominant in the policy network.

BACKGROUND:Mindfulness is a multi-millenary concept that is fundamental to meditative traditions.Nowadays it is a well-documented psychological construct and a proven therapeutictechnique, particularly in stress reduction and depressive relapse prevention. However, mindfulness and its effects on management practices are still relatively unexplored inthe literature.OBJECTIVES:This paper aims to address this shortage and demonstrate the claims that mindfulness isa psychological construct that is doubly beneficial to business executives by supportinga more balanced relationship to work while promoting the adoption of more positive andeffective leadership behaviors (transformational leadership and authentic).METHOD:A model using positive forms of leadership as mediators of mindfulness / performancerelationship is proposed for this assessment. A quantitate analysis is performed on asample of 319 African managers, 95% of which are South Africans.RESULTS:The data supports the idea that mindfulness is a resource that can be mobilized forinducing transformational and authentic leadership development and positiveorganizational behaviors.CONCLUSION:Mindfulness seems to be a very interesting predictor of transformational and authenticleadership styles, which prove to be the most powerful generators of performance

Purpose:The present study aimed to both develop and validate a model for servant leadership in a military context.Design/methodology/approach:The exploratory sequential mixed methods design with two phases was used. Firstly, in the qualitative phase, the process of servant leadership in a military context was developed using a systematic approach of grounded theory. Secondly, in the quantitative phase, the relationship between the components of servant leadership was explained and the developed model was validated.Findings:The result of the qualitative phase show certain personal, organizational and social antecedents form the ideology of sacrifice in leaders which include: spiritually, intelligent and developed personality (personal antecedents); organizational culture, models and incentives (organizational antecedents); and reference groups and social events (social antecedents). The ideology of sacrifice resulted in choosing special behaviors of servant leadership by leaders. These behaviors include: creating service climate; developing standards; building trust; empowering followers comprehensively; and effective persuasion which cause positive personal and organizational outcomes. According to the results of quantitative phase, the proposed model has an appropriate fitness.Practical implications:The results of this research can be used to develop certain criteria for selecting servant leaders. Accordingly, certain training programs can be developed to promote competencies in organizational leaders.Originality/value:To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to develop a model for servant leadership in a military context using a mixed methods design.
