After a survey of modern scholarship, which reveals a considerable variety of interpretation, especially with regard to the identity of the ‘seven Spirits’, there is an expert account of theories of intertextuality and of the ways some scholars (especially Ruiz and Moyise) have applied intertextual theory to Revelation, and then a chapter that oﬀ ers a proﬁ le of a Pentecostal reader of Revelation.
