Class II Thermosalient Solid
In top form:Form Iofpentamorphic naphthalene-2,3-diyl-bis(4-fluoro-
benzoate) (2)undergoes areversible phase transition to form IV fol-
lowed by athermosalient effect, whereby the crystals jump or burst.
The effect is due to reversible closing and opening of the arms of the
diester molecules in atweezer-like action. Form III also undergoes a
reversible phase transition;however,itisnot thermosalient. Form II is

Turning previous work on its head:Metal halide based perovskite
solar cells (PSCs) are considered among the most promising photo-
voltaic technologies (see figure). The high performance and low fabri-
cation cost make this technology competitive with that of state-of-the-
art thin-film photovoltaics, but there are still challenges to overcome.
Progress within the last two years in the field of graphene-based
inverted planar PSCs is summarized.
