Teachers of nursing in the United Kingdom: some characteristics of teachers and their jobs

Teachers of nursing in the United Kingdom: some characteristics of teachers and their jobs A survey of registered nurse teachers in the United Kingdom was carried out in order to (1) describe the general characteristics of the group, (2) discover if and where teachers were currently working and (3) to elicit and describe their opinions as to the satisfactions and dissatisfactions of their jobs. A total of 2923 completed questionnaires was returned representing a 69% response rate. The report describes the characteristics of the two main groups of respondent; those working in schools of nursing and those working elsewhere. It also describes factors linked to satisfaction/dissatisfaction and leaving/intending to leave. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of Advanced Nursing Wiley
