In 90% of patients there are typical findings in chest radiographs.' Abdominal lymphadenopathy is less common, and when present, it usually accompanies the more common manifestations in the chest. We report a case of sarcoidosis with a normal chest radiograph, in whom the only radiographic finding was periportal and retroperitoneal lymph nodes enlargement demonstrated by ultrasonography. CASE REPORT A 72-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital for abdominal pains existing for three months. She complained of nausea, fatigue, and loss of weight. The physical examination was unremarkable. Routine laboratory studies demonstrated an elevated sedimentation rate (58/h) without hypercalcemia. Chest X-ray was normal.
