ONE MIND, ONE HEART, ONE SPIRIT Recently, a friend caught off guard by my total optimism asked me what I was drinking. My reply was, “All the caffeine‐free, Diet Coke I can find.” (Joke, but true.)He continued, “No, I am serious. How can you look out the window and be so positive about all the negative forces present in our society?”I replied, “Every day, ‘to serve is to live’ becomes a more exciting part of my journey as I open doors with fellow travelers—no matter the generation.” It is not a dream but the reality of our times, from the youngest Millennials to our eldest thought leaders, military leaders, and spiritual leaders. In the past six months, I’ve been invited to share my message of mission, innovation, and diversity with, among others, the New York Mets, the United Way, Iona College, the Military Child Education Coalition, and the University of Michigan. We are together—one mind, one heart, one spirit, inspiring across the sectors.Take for instance my friend Marshall Goldsmith and his 100 Coaches project. I have watched Marshall's career in coaching grow; over the years, he has worked with thousands of leaders.
