Nontoxic replacement for Karl Fischer moisture analysis of plastics A newly developed automatic moisture analyzer for the plastic molding industry has a detection limit of 10 micrograms of water. Test results are available in three to six minutes. No reagents are used, and instrument setup and calibration takes less than ten minutes. Validation tests show moisture determination accuracy of better than 2% standard error, and precision (coefficient of variation) of 0.5 to 10%.
