Learning bias when teaching fibreoptic intubation

Learning bias when teaching fibreoptic intubation I agree with László et al. that cadavers may provide suitable alternatives to manikins for teaching fibreoptic intubation . However, in asking the participants to repeat intubations in the ‘baseline’ cadavers, seven days after practice using ‘new’ cadavers or manikins, there may have been a learning bias in favour of cadaveric intubation. Had participants repeated intubations on ‘baseline’ manikins instead, it is possible that the authors’ results may have favoured manikin intubation as a teaching tool.ReferenceLászló CJ, Szűcs Z, Nemeskéri Á, et al. Abstract

I agree with László et al. that cadavers may provide suitable alternatives to manikins for teaching fibreoptic intubation .
