If board members are involved in the planning stages, they will more likely want to see that the event succeeds.Secure event sponsors and donors. Have board members help identify and, if possible, solicit sponsors.Thank donors. Make sure board members are part of the thanking process for those who gave generous support.Attend the event. Get your board chair to encourage each member to attend the event and remind them that sponsors and supporters will notice the attendance or lack of attendance by the board.
