EVECCS News EVECC CONGRESS TALLINN 2019 CALL FOR PRESENTERSThe mission of the European Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (EVECCS) and the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ECVECC) is to advance the knowledge and high standards of practice in veterinary emergency medicine and critical patient care. This is the main goal of the joint EVECC congress held every year.The Scientific Committee is seeking proposals for presentation topics for our 18th EVECC congress, that will take place in the enchanted and historical city of Tallinn, Estonia, from the 6th to the 8th of June 2019.Veterinarians and nurses specialised in small animal Emergency and Critical Care are invited to submit their proposed topics and course descriptions for lectures and labs, along with a brief CV, to programme@evecc-congress.org.The title of the 2019 EVECC congress will be “More than a gut feeling: gastro‐intestinal disorders in critical illness”The main focus will be on all aspects of small animal gastrointestinal emergencies, nutrition of the critical patient, sepsis and inflammatory processes involving the GI tract and diagnosis and management of a variety of diseases affecting the critically ill patient. However, the program will also cover a variety of topics at different levels (refresher, advanced and nurse stream) to satisfy the needs of veterinary and technician specialists, advanced clinicians and nurses, general practitioners, dedicated to or having a special interest in Emergency and Critical Care, so additional topics may be considered as well.KEY DATESMarch 30th, 2018: Submission deadline for EVECC Congress 2019By July 31st, 2018: Invitations to present at EVECC Congress sent to speakersIf your proposal is selected, you will be notified by the 31st of July 2018.
