THE arbitrarily to give a freezing date of 75 days, which is 4 days after the latest recorded date. Where the comment âno freezingâ was found, a date of 80 days after 1 December was assumed. Strictly speaking, the ice date does not exist under these conditions, and these years should be excluded from the calculations.
