In this contribution, the damage and healing behavior of a fiber reinforced polymeric composite will be investigated. Therefore, the considered Helmholtz free energy function for the polymeric matrix material consists of two parts, an isotropic part for the description of the isotropic polymer and an anisotropic part for the reinforcement. As theoretical framework, the Theory of Porous Media is used, where internal interactions (phase transitions, temperature exchange, ...) can be described by so‐called production terms.
