The Journal of Rural Health BRUCE A. AMUNDSON, MD, is a senior staff scientist at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Wash. He was the project director of the WAMI Rural Hospital Project and remains active as a health systems development consultant for rural communities. RAYMOND BISSONETTE, PhD, is an associate professor in the Depart ment of Family Medicine at the State University of New York in Buffalo and director of curriculum development with responsibilities for a variety of innovative programs in medical education. THOMAS A. BRUCE, MD, is a program director with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek, MI. Bruce is the former dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and served as the director of the rural medical research office at that institu tion. He is co-author of the book Improving Rural Health: Initiatives of an Academic Medical Center (Rose Publishing, 1984). RICHARD C. CHIEN, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Institute of Hospital and Health Care Administration at the National Yang-Ming Medical College.
