Announcement 40th Annual Symposium on Fundamental Cancer Research W8Hn Gallorla Hdol, HOU8tOfIw Toxar, USA Novombor b l l W 1 W 7 This symposium will bring together expert clinical and laboratory investigators to survey the field of molecular genetics rather than focus indepth on any one genetic mechanism related to neoplasia. The latest findings related to the impact of genetic mechanisms on the etiology, development, and management of cancer will be discussed. Program topics include: organization of the human genome; chromosome changes and somatic cell variation; regulatory genes affecting somatic cell variation; mutation and repair, gene amplification; inherited cancer; action of cancer genes. Posters will be welcomed. Conference cochairs are Drs. Michael J. Siciliano and Louise C. Strong. A three-hour afternoon workshop, “Molecular Genetics: Terminology and Techniques,” will be offered to registrants on Nov. 8.
