Small double‐stranded RNAs (dsRNAs) induced RNA activation (RNAa) is a novel approach of gene activation that has been studied gradually (Pan et al., ; Lopez et al., ). This class of dsRNA is named small activating RNA (saRNA), which binds to gene promoter sequences and leads to changes in chromatin structure and transcriptional activation (Place et al., ; Schwartz et al., ; Wang et al., ).
