A case of pseudonecrophilia treated by behavior therapy

A case of pseudonecrophilia treated by behavior therapy SUMMARY First interviews of 56 therapists were submitted to objective tape ratings of therapist offered conditions of Empathy, Positive Regard, Genuineness and Concreteness. These ratings served as the bases for dividing these therapists into high and low functioning groups. Additional ratings of patient type, and type and frequency of confrontation were obtained. In-patient, out-patient designated the type of patient. Although patient type did not interact significantly with the other major variables, it was found that frequency and type of confrontation differentiated between high and low therapists.
