ROBERT (BOB) F. DICKIE, March 1934–January 2018 alifornia University of Pennsylvania professor emeritus Bob Dickie Cpassed away peacefully on January 29, 2018, at the age of 83. Bob was one of the original co-editors of Education and Treatment of Chil dren (ETC) established in 1977 along with Daniel Hursh and Andy Reitz. ETC was the successor to School Applications of Learning Theory (SALT), founded by Robert P. Hawkins and Howard E. Farris in 1968. More recently Bob had been serving as Senior Editorial Consultant. Bob served his country proudly in the United States Army dur- ing the Korean War. He was stationed in both Germany and Korea as a member of the Medical Corps. More than anything Bob loved kids with special needs, and his entire career was spent making the world a brighter place for them and their families. He worked directly with kids during his years at the Pittsburgh-based Pressley Ridge Schools, the journal’s original publisher and a nonprot o fi rganization that has helped to rebuild communities and families by providing innovative and diverse ser- vices for children and their families at risk for or experiencing emo- tional or behavioral problems.
