Untitled Poem

Untitled Poem On Copper River flats I smell the salty stench of drying seaweed. My bare toes clutch cold wetness, reluctant silt, stretching the haze for miles. My tracks dissolve in dimpled ponds, as the lines once gouged by your canoes, dragged by brown arms, returning potlatch-proud, the rising tides effaced. Abstract

On Copper River flats I smell the salty stench of drying seaweed. My bare toes clutch cold wetness, reluctant silt, stretching the haze for miles. My tracks dissolve in dimpled ponds, as the lines once gouged by your canoes, dragged by brown arms, returning potlatch-proud, the rising tides effaced. Frederica de Laguna
