In Memoriam

In Memoriam Anthony E. Kaye  1962–2017 We mark with sadness the premature passing of Anthony E. Kaye on May 14, 2017. In a series of conversations with Bill Blair in 2009–2010, when they were both at Penn State, Tony helped to found and articulate the vision for the Journal of the Civil War Era, and he served as Associate Editor. Author of Joining Places: Slave Neighborhoods in the Old South (UNC Press, 2007), Tony was at work on an ambitious new study of the Nat Turner revolt. Tony enjoyed putting scholars of disparate fields in conversation with one another; we like to think his broad vision lives on in the pages of JCWE. ii http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png The Journal of the Civil War Era University of North Carolina Press
