Editors’ Introduction SELIMA SULTANA AND PAUL KNAPP University of North Carolina Greensboro The deadline for the submission of this issue (Volume 60, Issue 2) intensified after re - turning from the successful 2019 Southeastern Division of American Association of Geographers (SEDAAG) meeting in Wilmington, North Carolina. Our heartiest congrat- ulations go to the planning committees, especially to Doug Gamble of UNC Wilmington, Chair of the Local Arrangements Committee, and to William (Bill) Graves, Chair of the Program Committee. We thank our editorial board members and the conference attend- ees who made the Southeastern Geographer reception a great success. We were happy to have our AAG President, David Kaplan at the reception. The 2019 Best Paper Award was presented to Jessica Kirkland and Stephanie Zick for their article entitled “Regional Differences in the Spatial Patterns of North Atlantic Tropical Cyclone Rainbands through Landfall” published in the 59.4 Issue of the South- eastern Geographer. In this paper, Kirkland and Zick presented an interesting and timely topic to a wide range of people and distilled difficult concepts into metrics that readers could understand. Further, their paper was well written and the links with societal con- cerns were well explained.
