<p>Abstract:</p><p>Building on an article published in this journal in 2015, we attempt to answer questions about object-oriented ontology (OOO) and the Fantastic. We argue that the nineteenth-century Fantastic is a self-consciously counter-Enlightenment literary mode occurring when a text adopts an object-oriented ontology and juxtaposes this ontology against the subject-centered ontology of Kantian philosophy.</p>
