Interview with Charly Evon Simpson Trey McEuen Charly Evon Simpson’s plays include Form of a Girl Unknown, JUMP, and Be- hind the Sheet, among many others. She is a recent recipient of the Vineyard Th eatre’s Paula Vogel Playwriting Award and the Dramatists’ Guild Lanford Wilson Award, and she was nominated for the Outer Critics Circle’s John Gassner Award. Charly holds a bachelor of arts from Brown University; a master’s degree in women’s studies from the University of Oxford, New Col- lege; and a master of fi ne arts in playwriting from Hunter College, where she studied with Annie Baker, Brighde Mullins, and Branden Jacobs- Jenkins.
