Her work centers on feminist philosophy, most recently on the raced and gendered nature of animal rights discourse and on the educational philosopher Anna Julia Cooper. M art ha Copp is an associate professor and the chair of the sociology department at East Tennessee State University. She is co-author (with Sherryl Kleinman) of Emotions and Fieldwork (Sage, 1993). She recently published "Making Sexism Visible: Birdcages, Martians, and Pregnant Men" (Teaching Sociology 2006), co-authored with Sherryl Kleinman and Kent Sandstrom. Wad e edWardS is an assistant professor of French at Longwood University, where he also serves as co-director of the Women's and Gender Studies program.
