MO FEI Some Floating Time in Ligh —F t or You Some days floating in light for you, some water for th e trees, some gentle wind for the new moon. Some whispering for the words, the rest are evening lights for the clouds and t he fairies. Some plums for the twigs and branches, some rivers for the wells. Some jade for the roofs and e aves. Some windows for the walls, some walls for the ears. Some beans around the house back and front, som e rain for the season. Some labor for those who don’t work, some ladders up and down for toon leaves and persimm ons. Some cats calling, some trespassing in the spring for a next life. Some pains for growing, some pains for bloomin g. Some birds for the evenings, and some evenings for the songs. Translation by Ming Di
