<p>Abstract:</p><p>While many scholars argue that classical Confucian moral teachings lack a concept of free will, Li Zehou asserts that free will is central to classical Confucian ethics. This essay evaluates the Confucian character of Liâs revised conception of Kantian free will, and shows that the relevant arguments in fact support its identifiably Confucian nature.</p>
