Eating Fish AMANG I eat fish for breakfa st I eat fish for lunc h I eat fish for dinner I eat fish most every da y For when I don’t I soon begin to i tch Ah Jing said, “I ate Ah Mi’s mom. ” Been years since they threw her ashes into the P acific Just think of all the fish I have eaten from t hat sea Every one delicio us Fish scales scintill ate But when a fish dies that flash disappears, becomes fles h A flash I love to ea t Whenever Ah Mi eats fish she thinks of her mo m Even wrote a poem on the subject, which makes me think o f mine I think of both our mo ms And sometimes other moms as w ell Ah Mi’s mom Has her soul been on my tongue?
