Abstract: This essay provides an introduction to and reflection on an intercultural production ( Told by the Wind ) by the Llanarth Group (Wales, UK) that focused on subtle, underlying issues of dramaturgy and aesthetic principles in performance between East Asian—especially Japanese nō —sources and contemporary psychophysical acting, devising, and writing practices.
