About the Contributors AUTHORS Aku Wuwu 阿库乌雾 is a Yi-Nuosu poet who writes in both Nuosu and Chinese. His books Winter River 1994 ( ) and Tiger Traces 1998 ( ) are the first collections of poetry written and published in modern Yi script and English. He is a professor of Yi Studies at Southwest University for Ethnic Nationalities, in Chengdu. Sandra Alcosser is the author of Except by Na ( t 1998) ure and A Fish to Feed All Hunger (1993), honored by the National Poetry Series and the Larry Levis and William Stao ff rd poetry awards. She was the NEA firs’s t C onservation Poet for the Wildlife Conservation Society and Poets House, and Monta s fir na s’t poet laureate. Amang 阿芒 was born and raised in Hualien, Taiwan. Her books of poetry in trans- lation are On/O:ff Selected Poems of Amang 1995–20 ( 02 2003) and No Daddy 2008 ( ). She is a teacher in Taipei. Baoyinhexige 宝音贺希格 is a poet and writer from Inner Mongolia who writes in Mongolian, Mandarin, and Japanese.
