Indeed, a th riv in g m arket in rep ro du cing W esterns now exists in b o th France and W est G erm any and, perhaps m ore surprisingly, in Japan. Yet a confessed addict soon learns th a t a taste fo r W estern films is tolerated ra th e r th an rewarded.
