Krisadawan Hongladarom is assistant professor of linguistics, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Her research interests include issues related to language, ethnicity and politics in Thailand, though she has also worked extensively on Tibetan linguistics. Ben Jiao is a research scientist at the Tibet Academy of Social Science in Lhasa. He has a doctorate in Anthropology from Case Western Reserve University, US.
