The system of generalized coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations is considered. Using Darboux transformation, a new class of vector dark soliton solutions is obtained. Presented solutions possess an oscillating background density, which was not previously reported. Furthermore, dark vector solitons known previously are the particular case of the presented. Explicit one-, two-soliton solutions and the determinant form of N-soliton formula are derived. The interaction of vector dark solitons is studied. The performed analysis of soliton collision indicates the elastic interaction between solitons.
