Abstract

Research results are reported on the use of mixtures consisting of mechanically activated fractions in place of traditional lining materials, which are used in making aluminum by means of dry barrier mixtures with various ratios. There is shown to be a positive effect from the mechanical activation of these unmolded barrier materials on the quality of the electrolyzer lining.
