Selective description is given for the construction and operation of transport and storage facilities, equipped
with devices for pneumatic loading. A comparative evaluation and technical properties of different construc
tions are given. A new device is described for emptying dusty materials from a flexible containers and supply
to the user. A procedure is suggested for calculating the technical parameters of transport and storage facilities
during loading and unloading.

Transport facilities, equipped with devices for pneumatic
loading and unloading, are intended for bulk conveyance fol-
lowed by pneumatic loading into stores of the silo type for
loose fine-grained materials such cement lime, cinder, soda,
clay, flour, etc. Series produced special material carriers (ce-
ment trucks, flour trucks, etc.) may used for delivery of other
materials with similar pneumatic transport properties to the
basic material (Table 1). Individual types of material trucks
are equipped with equipment [1 – 5] for pneumatic self load-
ing (cement trucks, cinder trucks). Use of special transport
facilities with pneumatic loading reduces labor content and
cost of loading and unloading work, reduces spoilage and
loss of material during transport and trans-shipment.
Motor transport facilities with pneumatic loading consist
of a traction unit and a tank-semitrailer. The tank is a recepta-
cle of cylindrical shape with a convex floor installed with a
slope of 6 – 8° in the unloading direction. Within the tank at
an angle of 45 – 50° from two sides there are slopes formed
in the lower trough of the tank, within which there is a pneu-
matic tube with a porous partition. The pneumatic tube is
made in the form of a box, covered from above with aeration
cloth. In the lower rear part of the tank there is a loading con
nection with a valve, a blowing nozzle, and a mush
room-shaped head for connecting the end of the transport
material pipe by means of a rapidly detachable lock. The
