Transient analysis of RC on-chip transmission lines with respect to propagation speed The effect of finite propagation speed on the total delay through and the transient response of an on-chip transmission line is investigated in the case of an RC line with an open-circuited far end. A model of signal propagation is proposed that enables one to estimate this effect at signal wavefront durations much less than the propagation time.
