Tissue expansion to reposition the displaced frontal hairline in craniofacial deformity

Tissue expansion to reposition the displaced frontal hairline in craniofacial deformity Anomalies such as cranio-frontonasal dysplasia and midline clefts can often be associated with a low or raised hairline. There may also be a central "widow's peak" deformity. After correction of the skeletal deformity this soft tissue problem is addressed to produce a better end result. In order to move the hairline tissue expansion of the forehead has been used. Once the forehead expansion is achieved, the hairline can be moved backwards or forwards. A series of three cases is presented. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png European Journal of Plastic Surgery Springer Journals

Abstract

Anomalies such as cranio-frontonasal dysplasia and midline clefts can often be associated with a low or raised hairline.
