The thermal explosion of a heterogeneous liquid–solid reaction system in a semibatch reactor was simulated with consideration for the temperature dependence of distribution coefficient. It was shown that this temperature dependence strongly influences the critical conditions of ignition. At weak temperature dependence of a distribution coefficient in a subcritical mode, the process was a degenerative one. Abstract

The thermal explosion of a heterogeneous liquid–solid reaction system in a semibatch reactor was simulated with consideration for the temperature dependence of distribution coefficient. It was shown that this temperature dependence strongly influences the critical conditions of ignition.
