It is shown, based on the available evidence, that the heating and cooling rates in the heat-treatment regimes of quartz ceramics and its commercial products are of minor importance for the properties of the material and are limited only by the process equipment potentialities. Still, the use of higher heating and cooling rates makes the production of quartz ceramics more cost-effective.
