The Interaction of the rad201Gene with Genes mei-9and mei-41in Germline Cells of DrosophilaFemales The effect of Drosophilamutation rad201 G1together with mutations mei-41 D5and mei-9 aon the sensitivity of oocytes to induction of dominant lethals (DLs) was studied. To this end, the frequencies of spontaneous and gamma-radiation-induced DLs in consecutive egg batches of females carrying double or single mutations were estimated. Since the effects of the mutations examined are expressed only at the previtellogenetic stages of oogenesis, only newly hatched (0–5-hour-old) females, whose oocytes did not develop farther than stage 7, were irradiated. Abstract
