Synthesis and Structural Chemical Examination
of Faujasite Type Zeolite and Its New Structural Modiﬁ cation

Abstract—On the basis of the aluminate solution of alumina production and sodium silicate a faujasite-type zeolite
was synthesized as well as its new structural modiﬁ cation. Thermostability nature and temperature of dehydration
of this zeolite were found. It is shown that the ratio of the starting components SiO
affects the direction of the crystallization of zeolites.
A faujasite type zeolite is zeolite of great practical im-
portance and synthesized many researchers from various
natural and synthetic aluminosilicate original materials
[1–5]. These zeolites (NaX and NaY) are widely used in
catalysis, adsorption, and other chemical industries. In [2,
6] the role of the structural and chemical features of the
original materials was shown in the synthesis of zeolites.
The aim of the study is to establish the possibility of
obtaining zeolite based on industry waste and study of the
nature of the raw material to the crystallization of zeo-
lites. An industrial feedback sodium aluminate solution
of alumina manufacture was used as starting material. A
solution produced by Bayer method contains the main
components of the synthesis of zeolites in an amount
O 180–210, Al
80–110. For complete
correcting the composition to the starting reaction blend
hydrated sodium silicate Na
O was added. The
chemical compositions of the starting reaction blends,
phase and chemical compositions of products of their
crystallization are shown in Table 1.
The crystallization of the reaction blends was con-
ducted in temperature 80°С for 24 h under hydrothermal
