For the past few years, considerable progress has been made in the fabrication of quantum devices using mesoscopic semiconductor elements. These devices can represent the elemental base for a wide class of high-tech devices from supersensitive detectors of an electromagnetic field to reliable sources of single photons and quantum computers. The article reviews the main experimental results obtained to date with the participation of superconducting quantum devices.
