Study of the heat resistance of ceramic products for use in glassmaking Results are presented from a study of the phase composition of a ceramic composite that is based on aluminum titanate and additives and is synthesized by fusion in a solar furnace. The mechanical properties of ceramics based on aluminum titanate are improved by reducing grain growth in the initial material. It is found that additions of mullite, spinel, and Al2O3–ZrO2 eutectics have a positive effect on the mechanical properties of the ceramic. Abstract
