Study of Filtration and Adsorption Properties of Calcium Hydrometasilicate The constants and rate of filtration, optimal filtering layer thickness ensuring the maximum rate of filtration, and specific resistance of the filtering layer were determined for calcium hydrometasilicate powders of the C-S-H (I) type, obtained by processing natural diatomites and by reacting alkali-siliceous solution with Ca(OH)2. The effects of heat treatment and carbonization of C-S-H (I) on its filtration and adsorption properties were studied. Abstract
