The patient, who was diagnosed with post-adolescent acne, was started on spironolactone [route and dosage not stated]. Subsequently, she developed menstrual irregularities [time to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. Author comment: "Interestingly, while studies reported that 17.5–18% of patients on 50–100 mg of spironolactone experienced menstrual irregularities , only 1 patient (0.25%) experienced these in our study."
