The pigments were extracted with a mixture of petroleum ether (PE) and tetrahydrofuran (THF) (PE to THF ratio 4: 1). Equations for calculations of β-carotene, lutein, chlorophyll a and b content in PE: THF mixture were obtained using specific absorption coefficients of solutions of particular pigments. Abstract
