Law And Disagreement
This article critically analyzes one of the proposals by Bruno Frey (Homo Oecon 34(1):1–9, 2017)—dynamic weighted voting for the non-citizen resident population. While weighted voting does not, as I argue, necessarily disregard the generally accepted principle of equality, at least not to a higher degree than in the case of representation systems, some other concerns arise, which make it questionable for the purposes of democratic decision-making.
