Source of sequence: Sequence was determined from a PCR product, which was ligated to a T-vector,
from genomic DNA of Imperata cylindrica (L.) Beauv. var. major (Nees) C. E.
Trivial name: rDNA IGS of Imperata cylindrica var. major.
Description: IGS-imp01 clone, a noncoding spacer between 25S and I7S rRNA genes, is 1865 bp
in length. Four copies of a subrepeat with a consensus length of 35 bp exist up-
stream of the putative transcription initiation site. Nucleotide sequence of the IGS in
Imperata cylinarica var. major shows 89.3% identity with Miscanthus sinensis var.
