INTERESTING FINDINGS Sargassum Anglerfish Histrio histrio (Pisces: Antennariidae)—A New Fish Species for Russian Waters A. S. Sokolovskii and T. G. Sokolovskaya Institute of Marine Biology, Far Eastern Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladivostok, 690041 Russia On July 19, 2003, while examining materials Japan it is found along the coasts of Honshu and Hok- beached by a storm in Sivuch’ya Bay (Far Eastern State kaido Islands. Along the continental coast it had been Marine Biospheric Reserve, Peter the Great Bay, Sea of registered until now only in the southern part of the Japan), we found in a mass of sargasso weeds a sargas- Korean Peninsula . The occurrence of the sargasso sum anglerﬁsh Histrio histrio (Linnaeus, 1758), a ﬁsh anglerﬁsh in the waters of Peter the Great Bay was, in of the family Antennariidae. The specimen was 9.4 cm all likelihood, due to a passive drift with ﬂoating gulf- weed driven by steady winds from the southeast that long and showed a pronounced light brown protective are characteristic of this area in the ﬁrst half of June
